The Prop Plug provides a USB-to-serial port connection that is convenient for microcontroller programming and communication. Its pinout is compatible with the four-pin programming header found on the Propeller Backpack and Spinneret Web Server.
This tiny device is capable of asynchronous communication at up to 3 Mbaud with both 3.3V and 5V devices such as the Propeller and BASIC Stamp. The Prop Plug slips onto a 4-pin, 0.1"-spaced header, allowing both PCBs and breadboards to provide in-circuit programming capability.
The Prop Plug ships with a USB-A to USB-mini-B cable.
Download Prop Plug User Manual Parallax USB Driver Installer for Windows (for Linux or Mac, get VCP drivers from FTDI). These drivers are installed with the Parallax IDE, so you should have them already.
