With this board, you can use the same accessory boards on different development systems, by manually adjusting the necessary communication lines using a header matrix and jumpers.
SmartADAPT2-GLCD features a 32×16 header matrix with 16 jumpers which are used to route desired input lines to appropriate output headers in order to form a new pinout arrangement. The board is equipped with screw terminals if you want to provide an external power supply instead of using power from the input headers, and a jumper lets you select whether the output VCC pin (always pin 9) will be from the input headers or from the external power supply. This board also has a connector for an LCD or GLCD. Two compatible displays can be selected as options below. A potentiometer for LCD contrast is on the board.
This board was designed with mikroElektronika's accessory boards and development systems in mind, thus only eight of the output pins on each IDC10 connector are configurable. Pins 9 and 10 are reserved for VCC and GND, which is universal among all mikroElektronika systems.
