dsPIC Prototype Board, 40-pin DIP (dsPIC30F3014/4013)


The dsPIC-Ready2 is a prototype board for some 40-pin dsPIC microcontrollers from Microchip. The board features a USB port with an on-board FT232RL USB-to-serial-UART interface device.

A 40-pin DIP socket is provided on the board for installing a dsPIC microcontroller. Note: There are two 40-pin DIP pinouts used for dsPICs. This board supports the pinout used by the dsPIC30F3014 and dsPIC30F4013. The other 40-pin DIP pinout is supported by the dsPIC-Ready1 board.

All MCU pins are brought out to a series of 25 headers, so you can connect your peripherals. A large prototyping area allows you to solder your own circuit right on the board and create a self-contained product.

A 25 programming header is available for programming/debugging your dsPIC microcontroller. The header is compatible with the dsPICprog and mikroProg for PIC programmers, or any in-circuit dsPIC programmer with flying leads that you can place on the correct pins.

A DIP switch lets you determine which microcontroller pins are to be used for UART communication.

The board can be powered with 8-16V AC or DC power supply via a two-pole screw terminal.
