MIKROE-705
mikroBoard dsPIC, dsPIC30F6014A CPU Module w/ USB ISP

The mikroBoard modules are designed to plug into the UNI-DS6 universal development system, but they also can be used standalone.

This board includes a Microchip dsPIC30F6014A microcontroller in 80-pin TQFP soldered, and an on-board fast mikroICD in-system programmer with a mini-USB connector. It also has a prototyping area where you can connect your own circuit.

mikroBoard dsPIC Features

  • On-board fast dsPICProg programmer
  • mini-USB programmer connector
  • Specialized reset circuit
  • dsPIC30F6014A MCU from Microchip
  • 5V power regulator circuit
  • Programmer, Power and USB link LEDs
  • Prototyping section
  • On-Board crystal oscillator
  • Can be used as a standalone device

mikroBoard as MCU card

The main purpose of the mikroBoard is as an MCU card for the UNI-DS6 development system. For connection with the UNI-DS6, the mikroBoard has two 240 female headers. Integrated into the mikroBoard is a programmer which is used for MCU programming. To connect the on-board programmer with a PC, just plug in a mini-USB cable.

mikroBoard as standalone device

To use mikroBoard as standalone device, it is necessary to place jumper J1 (STANDALONE). In standalone mode, mikroBoard can get power from a PC via USB or through the 240 female header. When power is supplied to the 240 female header, it must be a regulated 5V supply.
