This small but mighty power supply was designed to be as small and inconspicuous as possible. Pop in a AAA battery, flip the power switch, and you will have a 5V supply to power your LilyPad network. The NCP1402 boost regulator can source up to 200mA.
This board is short-circuit protected. It has AAA battery clips but can use an input from 1.2V to 5V. Lithium polymer batteries are a good, rechargable alternative.
The board measures 56 × 26 mm, and is made with a PCB measuring only 0.8 mm thick.
LilyPad Overview LilyPad is a wearable e-textile technology developed by Leah Buechley. Each LilyPad is designed to have large connecting pads to allow them to be sewn into clothing. Various input, output, power, and sensor boards are available. They're even washable — just remember to remove the battery first.
