Load-n-Go is a handheld in-circuit programmer for use where a PC is not available or convenient. This mobile solution supports PIC10/PIC12/PIC14/PIC16/PIC18/PIC24 MCUs and dsPIC DSCs. The device allows for quick field programming of targets with up to four firmware images. Load-n-Go can be powered via USB or with a standard 9V DC adapter. Use it as a regular ICD/ICSP with the CCS IDE Compiler. Handheld PIC Programmer Features - 2 MB Flash can store up to four separate programs of 512 KB or less. Larger programs can be loaded if the user does not need all 4 program slots.
- Load-n-Go can be modified to power the target board by adding a jumper inside the unit. 2.5V, 3.3V and 5V target Vdd available.
- New unit firmware can be downloaded from the web to add support for new devices.
- CCS Programmer Control software easily steps the user through the process of loading firmware and using the unit.
- Runs on 4 AA batteries for field programming or 9V DC adapter if power source available.
- Automatic shutdown which conserves battery life when not in use.

View Supported Devices List PIC In-Circuit Debugger Connection to Target The Load 'n Go units have a 6-contact RJ12 connector, and provide an RJ12 cable to connect to prototyping boards. We recommend you add an RJ12 ICD socket to your target board; here is the pinout: ICD Socket | Target Socket | Target Pin | | 1 | 6 | PGM on target PIC - This is optional, used for advance debugging | | 2 | 5 | PGC on target PIC | | 3 | 4 | PGD on target PIC | | 4 | 3 | Ground | | 5 | 2 | Vcc from target to Load 'n Go. | | 6 | 1 | MCLR. Connect to target PIC and pull up to +Vcc on target board with 47K resistor. The Load 'n Go will drive this with 13V during chip programming. No capacitor is desired on MCLR; it would cause programming problems with the Load 'n Go. | ICD Socket is the pinout on the Load 'n Go unit. Target Socket is the pinout of the target/prototype board; this pin-out is applicable if using the provided RJ12 cable.
