- 20-pin, 28-pin and 40-pin DIL microcontroller sockets
- Jumper Selectable +3.3V/5.0V board supply voltage
- Power plug-in jack: 5.5mm outer, 2.5mm inner diameter
- Accepts AC and DC input voltage
- Minimum Input voltage should be 3.5VDC or 2.5VAC higher than desired board supply voltage

- RS232 DB9 female connector with MAX2232 interface circuit and Tx, Rx, CTS, DTR/RTS signals
- Rx and Tx pins are connected to AVR UART pins
- Connect CTS,DTR/RTS signals to general I/O pins of your choice
- MAX2232 provides reliable RS232 at 3.3V and 5.0V board Vcc
- AVR JTAG connector (top view on target board) for in-circuit programming and debugging with AVR JTAG In-Circuit Debugger & Programmer
- Note: JTAG support only available for 40-pin DIP socket, as AVR micros in smaller packages do not have a JTAG interface
- 5x2 pin STK500 compatible ISP connector (top view on target board) for In-System Programming with an AVR ISP Programmer
- 10 MHz quartz crystal oscillator in machined, spring loaded socket for easy replacement
- Reset IC ZM33064
- Reset button
- Push button connected to PB4 on 40-pin DIP and PD2 on 20- and 28-pin DIP, can be connected/ disconnected via jumper
- Status LED connected to PB7/SCK on 20/40-pin DIP and PB5/SCK on DIP28 via removable jumper
- Extension solder pads for every µC pin
- Grid 100 mils
- GND bus
- Vcc bus
- FR-4, 1.5 mm (0.062"), dual layer, electroless nickel/immersion gold (ENIG) plating, green soldermask, white silkscreen component print
- Four mounting holes
- Supported devices: All 20- and 28-pin Atmel AVR micros. 40-pin AVr devices with AVcc/Vcc on pins 30/10 and AGND/GND on pins 31/11 (e.g. ATmega16)
