Its functionality is wholly determined by whatever Tibbo BASIC application it is running. It is perfectly suited to work as an intelligent serial controller, serial device server, or serial communications gateway.

The DS1000 power supply voltage range is 9-18VDC. The unit has a coaxial power jack with 3.5mm diameter and a two pole screw terminal to connect power sources. On the coaxial power jack, ground is on the outer contact, positive voltage is on the center pin.
