This In-Circuit Serial Programming (ICSP) and In-Circuit Debugging (ICD) Adapter Cable is used for connecting PIC target boards that feature a 1.25mm 5-pin single row ICSP/ICD connector to any PIC chip programmer/in-circuit debugger that features a 2.54mm square post header. This includes 2.54mm single-row headers with latch, like the ones used on the Olimex programmers and in-circuit debuggers.

The 15cm cable features a 1.25mm, 5-pin female connector on one side. On the other side, it has five individual flying leads with crimp connectors that fit on standard 2.54mm square post header type of connectors.

The picture below shows how this adapter is used to connect an iCM4011 dsPIC Board's 1.25mm 5-pin ICSP connector (J7) to the 2.54mm single-row ICSP connector of a PIC-ICD2 in-circuit debugger/programmer.

The cables are color coded. Using the iCM4011 Board's ICSP connector layout, the signals are as follows:
