Samsung S3C2410 (ARM) Processor Card, 200-pin DIMM

The Embest Mini2410 ARM processor card incorporates Samsung's S3C2410x processor, which is based on an ARM920T core with integrated MMU. The processor card takes full advantage of all the common features of the S3C2410. The card can be connected to your carrierboard via a 200-pin DIMM socket (not included). The 16-bit data bus, I/O and all other hardware interfaces are extended to the DIMM.

The processor card has no software on itself originally. You can develop the software according to your own designs.

S3C2410x Processor Card Features

  • Dimensions: 67.6 x 45 mm
  • Temperature Range: 0 to +70 Celsius
  • Samsung S3C2410 microcontroller based on a 2.5V Static ARM920T CPU core with MMU
  • 64 MByte SDRAM
  • 2 MByte NOR Flash
  • On-chip PLL generates the 12 MHz OSC to operate the MCU at up to 203 MHz
  • 32.768 kHz Real-Time clock
  • JTAG interface
  • 16-bit data bus, I/O and all other hardware interface expansions via DIMM 200-pin
  • Jumper setting lets you boot from Nand Flash on your carrierboard or Nor Flash on the CPU board
  • Single 3.3V power supply

JTAG Connector

The Mini2410 processor card uses an 8-pin JTAG debug interface to connect to your development system through debug cable or emulator. With 1.0mm pin spacing, the connector measures 11mm long by 4.5mm deep by 3mm high.

The pinout is as follows:

Pin

Name

Function

1

TMS

JTAG debug interface mode selecting; a 10k pull-up resistor is needed

2

TDO

JTAG debug interface data output

3

TDI

JTAG debug interface data input

4

TCK

JTAG debug interface clock input

5

nTRST

JTAG reset; pull-up resistor is needed to avoid accidental triggering

6

nRESET

Reset signal of ARM kernel. For target system reset, reset status checking. Added pull-up resistor on carrierboard is needed to avoid accidental triggering.
