Three-in-one USB device combining ARM JTAG debugger, virtual RS232 port with full modem signals supported, and power supply.

ARM-USB-OCD Features

  • USB 2.0 JTAG dongle interface can be used with all ARM devices for programming and debugging
  • Standard 2x10-pin ARM JTAG connector
  • Supports ARM targets working from 2.0V to 5.0V DC
  • Supported by open-source OpenOCD debugger software
  • Adds virtual RS232 port to your computer with all modem signals, e.g. DTR, DSR, DCD, RTS, CTS, Rx, Tx
  • Can be used as power supply with jumper-selectable power output: 5V, 9V and 12V DC (see below)
  • Dimensions: 50 x 40 mm (2 x 1.6") + 20cm (8") JTAG cable + 30cm (12") power supply cable

The included CD contains a Windows installer for full-featured and open-source tools: GCC C compiler, OpenOCD debugger and Eclipse IDE.

Power Supply Function

USB source current is limited with a resettable fuse at 300mA. The maximum current varies depending on the voltage output selected: 5V/200mA, 9V/100mA, 12V/70mA. This also depends on your USB host's current capabilities. If other USB devices are attached to your computer, or if it's a laptop running on batteries, these figures may be different and can vary between USB hosts.
