RELAY-4REED
Add-on Board: 4 Reed Relays, 500mA Normally Open, Stackable

RELAY-4REED has four sub-miniature relays with low power coil consumption. Switch current is 0.5A. Carry current is 1.25A. All relays have normally open contact. Two relay terminal blocks provide all the relay contacts. A Philips I/O expander PCF8574 controls the relays. Any command to activate or deactivate any relay can be sent through the I2C bus. There is a configuration selector that allows you to set three hardware address pins. Thus you can chain together up to eight boards at the same time for a total of 32 relays.

The 16 control pins and 5V power supply connections are available on a 20-pin (210) expansion connector for interfacing to existing microcontroller systems. This board can be connected either as a piggyback daughterboard on a microcontroller board (one with a matching connector) using standoffs or can be placed away from the microcontroller board using a 20-wire ribbon cable.

The expansion connector is plug-in compatible with MicroTRAK, MINI-MAX and BSCB systems. You can use it in your own system too, of course; see the manual for the expansion connector's pinout.
