The Arduino Mini Inventor's Kit is a great way to get started with programming and hardware interaction with the Arduino programming language. This kit includes everything you need to complete eight circuits that will teach you how to blink an LED, read sensors, drive servos, and more. You don't need any previous programming or electronics experience to use this kit. The Inventor's Kit Guide (download below) contains step-by-step instructions of how to connect each circuit with the included parts. Full example code is provided and explained and even includes troubleshooting tips if something goes wrong. The kit does not require any soldering and is recommended for beginners ages 10 and up. This miniature version of the kit includes the parts to try the first eight experiments of the Guide, to make it cheaper and more practical for beginning and interested users. If you'd like to complete the more advanced experiments that appear later in the guide, consider the full-sized Inventor's Kit. Circuit examples you can build with this Mini Kit: - Circuit 1: Blinking an LED
- Circuit 2: Reading a Potentiometer
- Circuit 3: Driving and RGB LED
- Circuit 4: Driving Multiple LEDs
- Circuit 5: Push Buttons
- Circuit 6: Reading a Photo Resistor
- Circuit 7: Reading a Temperature Sensor
- Circuit 8: Driving a Servo Motor
Arduino Mini Inventor's Kit Contents - SparkFun RedBoard — compatible with the Arduino Uno
- 6' USB A to mini-B cable — USB provides power for up to 500mA (enough for most projects) and is ample length to connect to your desktop or laptop USB port.
- Solderless Breadboard — Excellent for making circuits and connections off the Arduino.
- A0090 Micro Servo
- TMP36 Temperature Sensor
- Male-to-Male Jumper Wires — This pack of 30 wires allow you to connect the female headers on the Arduino to the components and breadboard.
- GL5528 Photocell — A sensor to detect ambient light. Perfect for detecting when a drawer is opened or when night-time approaches.
- Tri-Color LED — Use this LED to PWM mix any color you need.
- Basic LEDs — Light-emitting diodes make great general indicators. You get five each of red, green, yellow and blue.
- Linear trim pot — Also known as a variable resistor, this is a device commonly used to control things like LCD contrast, and makes a great general user-control input for anything that doesn't require regular adjustment (it is rated for 200 rotations).
- Two 12mm buttons — Large tall button is easy to press.
- 20-pack of 330 Ohm Resistors
- 20-pack of 10k Ohm Resistors
