L293D H-Bridge Driver Board Description:
This Breakout-Module features a L293D chip from Texas Instruments to drive drive inductive loads such as relays, solenoids, dc and bipolar stepping motors, as well as other high-current/high-voltage loads in positive-supply applications. The L293D is one of the most commonly used driver circuits in hobby robotics.
The L293D can control 4 inductive loads with currents up to 600mA. By connecting the L293D breakout board to a microcontroller and connecting a motor in a bridge configuration (using 2 drivers per motor) you can control motor direction via the chip's driver enable signals and motor speed by applying a PWM signal to the driver inputs.
