ZigBee/MiWi Peripheral Board, MRF24J40MA, 2x IDC10 (EasyBee3)


The EasyBee3 Board features a 2.4 GHz IEEE 802.15.4 radio transceiver module MRF24J40MA from Microchip. This module includes an integrated PCB antenna and matching circuitry. The MRF24J40MA module is connected to the microcontroller via a SPI interface. As such, this module is an ideal solution for wireless networks, smart home automation, building automation and other electronic applications that need wireless communication.

MRF24J40MA Board Features

  • IEEE 802.15.4 Standard Compliant RF Transceiver
  • Supports ZigBee, MiWi, MiWi P2P and Proprietary Wireless Networking Protocols
  • Integrated 20 MHz and 32.768 kHz Crystal Oscillator Circuitry
  • Data Rate: 250 kbps (IEEE 802.15.4); 625 kbps (Turbo mode)
  • Simple, 4-Wire Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI)
  • Low-Current Consumption
  • Jumper for selecting 3.3V or 5V operation
  • On-board voltage translators enable compatibility with most development boards
  • Extended battery life due to low power consumption
  • Supported in all MikroE compilers
  • IDC10 cables with connectors enable easy connection with peripheral modules
