Linux Embedded Web Server for SMS and MMS Management MMS FoxBox is a Linux-based server/gateway to receive MMS (Multimedia Message Service), or to send and receive SMS (Short Message Service) messages over the GSM mobile network. To use the MMS FoxBox you need to subscribe to or get a pre-paid card from a mobile phone service provider that has a GSM network (in USA those are AT&T and T-Mobile). The GSM SIM card needs to be inserted into the FoxBox SIM card holder. The MMS FoxBox is based on the FOXLX832 Axis Embedded Ethernet & Linux Board and the FoxGM862-Quad Fox Carrier Board with GSM/GPRS Quad Frequency Modem. MMS FoxBox can work as a Web server with a full featured web interface to manage MMS and SMS messages, or it can act as a TCP/IP gateway to integrate MMS and SMS with mail servers, ftp clients, SQL servers, desktop and network applications. A simpler version named SMS FoxBox is also available if you need to manage SMS messages only. The MMS FoxBox includes a GSM quad band modem and a SD/MMC memory card to store messages (up to 2 million SMS or 20.000 MMS with the included 1GByte card).
