  • The MYD-IMX283-I is a power-efficient ARM Evaluation Kit for the Freescale i.MX28 family of multimedia application processors which have an ARM926EJ-S core and run at up to 454 MHz. The kit features a development board with a removable CPU module as the core controller board. It runs the Linux operating system. You can use this system as a reference platform to start your design. The main board lets you get the most out of the i.MX28x processor, providing a comprehensive set of peripherals and connectivity options, making this system suitable for smart gateways, human-machine interfaces, hand-held devices, educational tools and other industrial applications.

    This version of the system has an extended industrial operating temperature range of -40 to +85 C.

    The MYD-IMX28x-I Development Board supports one of two CPU modules. With this kit, it will include the MYC-IMX283-I System on Module (SOM) integrated with the i.MX283 processor, 128MB DDR2 SDRAM, 256MB Nand Flash and Ethernet PHY. It is connected to the base board through two 1.27mm-pitch 80-pin connectors. The base board extends many peripherals and interfaces through headers and connectors, including 1x RS232, 1x Debug, 2x USB ports, 2x Ethernet*, 2x CAN*, 1x RS485, microSD, Audio, LCD, JTAG, etc.

    * Note: The i.MX283 CPU in this kit supports only 1x Ethernet and does not support CAN. Purchase the MYD-IMX287-I system if you need support for CAN bus or 2x Ethernet.

    At the bottom of this page, you can add the i.MX287 CPU module to your order, allowing you to swap out the two processors to evaluate them both on the same base board. The differences between the two available processors are as follows:

    i.MX283 Development Board Software

    The same software package is provided with both available CPU modules. Some of the software drivers and examples may not apply to the i.MX283 CPU.
