Electric Imp Breakout Board


This board provides an interface between your prototype device and your Electric Imp.

This is not an SD Card Breakout! It is only for the Electric Imp a WiFi-enabled development platform with ARM Cortex-M3 processor that comes in an SD Card package.

The Electric Imp Breakout, when an Electric Imp is installed, allows you to connect your project to the internet through your home WiFi network. This way, your system can take advantage of the Imp Cloud service and connect to HTTP APIs.

An Electric Imp is not included.

The board provides standard 0.1" through-hole header pads as well as the necessary CryptAuthEE IC to identify your prototype to the Imp Cloud service.

Three power options

If you want to use the mini-USB or battery input pins for power, you will need to populate the 3-pin jumper and set it to either BAT or USB. Otherwise, you can just simply power the board using VIN and GND without the use of a jumper.
