
One of the most powerful ways of presenting data and interacting with users is through color displays and touch panel inputs. This is a crucial element of any multimedia device. The EasyTFT board carries a 320×240-pixel 2.83" color TFT display with LED backlight and HX8347-D controller. A 4-wire resistive touch panel comes as a part of the TFT display. Each pixel is capable of showing 262,144 different colors. The TFT display is connected to a microcontroller using a standard 8080 parallel 8-bit interface, with additional control lines. The board features a backlight driver which, in addition to standard mode, can be driven with a PWM signal in order to regulate brightness in 0 to 100% range. TFT Touchscreen Display Module Pinout The display's connection to a microcontroller system is through a 20-pin single-row header. Note that the touchpanel controller on mikroElektronika boards that don't already come with this EasyTFT module is incompatible, so you'll be able to plug in and use this display on those boards but will have to make your own touchpanel controller.
