ARM9 Linux based 100Mbps Ethernet to RS232/RS422/458 pin header


This Serial-to Ethernet Module is based on the EddyV2-CPU ARM9 CPU Module with 8MB Flash and 32MB RAM. It connects to your RS232 device or RS422/RS485 device/network via a male pin header with standard 0.1" spacing. Power to the board is also provided via such a pin header.

The ARM9 CPU module runs the Lemonix real-time Linux operating system, making this the most flexible and powerful Serial-to-Ethernet Server on the market.

Real Time Linux - Lemonix®

Lemonix® is a RTOS (RealTime Operating System) built on Linux kernel 2.6.x. Standard Linux kernel 2.6.x has been revised to support Real Time capability while retaining the stable traits and merits of Linux kernel 2.6.x. Real time scheduler, preemptive kernel and lockbreak methods have been implemented on Lemonix® to guarantee a maximum response latency of under 100us enabling a stable and reliable means of real time communication. This product supports Lemonix® thus preventing the need to customize your OS so that it would be fully compatible to your embedded device.

SDK (Software Development Kit)

SDK (Software Development Kit), API (Application Programming Interface) and Source Codes are provided to assist developments. With least amount of time & effort, and with little or no modifications, any socket/serial communication applications can be programmed on the ARM926EJ-S CPU.

Eclipse based IDE (Integrated Development Environment) LemonIDE® Support

LemonIDE® is an integrated development environment built on open source Eclipse framework. LemonIDE® provides an easy & effective GUI (Graphical User Interface) for Application and Firmware Developments that run on SystemBase’s embedded real time Linux, Lemonix®. LemonIDE® encompasses GNU C/C++ Compiler, Source Code Editor and Debugger delivering a one-stop development environment solution to embedded developers with conveniences of simple mouse click execution.

The Eddy-S1-DB9-V2.0 which is a version of this board with D-Sub 9 connector can also be purchased separately.

A development carrier board (EddyV2-DK) which allows easy access to the modules' interfaces and features is also available.

You can also purchase just the Eddy CPU module for use in your own board designs.
