High level output (up to 50Vpp), 12-bit DA converter, Fast sampling rate and USB 2.0/1.1 interface
The M531 is a single-channel USB arbitrary waveform generator compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 interfaces. The generator has two outputs: both generate same waveform, but with different peak-peak voltage. The low-level output has 50 Ohm output impedance and maximum peak-peak voltage of 9V. There is no external power supply required to enable low-level output; it is powered via USB. The high-level output has 600 Ohm output impedance and maximum peak-peak voltage of 50V. The necessary external power supply is included to enable this output.
Software Powerful software is a part of the package. All commonly used features are located in the main window and are accessible easily by mouse. The software is designed to make operation as comfortable and intuitive as possible.
The waveform library contains several pre-defined waveforms (Sine, Triangle, Saw, Square). You can create new waveforms (or modify existing ones) by the integrated editors (freeform editor, math editor, standard waves editor). It is possible to import data from the ASCII format (for example Matlab, Excel or any other application that supports this format).
The optional M530 Development Kit software will allow you to write your own application using the device. You can add this option to your order at the bottom of this page.

Connection cables are not included. If you don't already have cables, you should purchase the K531 kit which includes the M531 (and everything listed above) plus three connection cables (one coaxial, one BNC-Banana, one BNC-Crocodile) and a set of four attenuators — all in a nice carrying case.
Optional Development Software The Development Kit is a set of libraries and examples providing access to all features of the waveform generator, making it possible to write your own application that uses the M531. The development kit contains libraries for MS Windows 98SE, MS Windows ME, MS Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems. It contains library descriptions and examples written in Inprise Delphi, Inprise C++ Builder, Visual C++ 6.0, Visual Basic 6.0, C#.NET and Visual Basic .NET.
