dsPIC Prototype Board, 28-pin DIP (dsPIC30F1010/2020 pinout)

The dsPIC-Ready4 is a prototype board for some 28-pin dsPIC microcontrollers from Microchip. The board features a USB port with an on-board FT232RL USB-to-serial-UART interface device.

A 28-pin DIP socket is provided on the board for installing a dsPIC microcontroller. Note: There are three 28-pin DIP pinouts used for dsPICs. This board supports the pinout used by dsPIC30F1010, dsPIC30F2020 etc. The other two 28-pin DIP pinouts are supported by the dsPIC-Ready3 board. Check the downloadable user manuals of these boards against the datasheet of your dsPIC to ensure you get the correct board and use the correct socket.

All MCU pins are brought out to a series of 25 headers, so you can connect your peripherals. A large prototyping area allows you to solder your own circuit right on the board and create a self-contained product.

A 25 programming header is available for programming/debugging your dsPIC microcontroller. The header is compatible with the dsPICprog and mikroProg for PIC programmers, or any in-circuit dsPIC programmer with flying leads that you can place on the correct pins.

Jumper headers let you determine which microcontroller pins are to be used for UART communication.

The board can be powered with 8-16V AC or DC power supply via a two-pole screw terminal.
