This package includes a Wii Nunchuck game controller and an interface board that allows you to connect it to any development board with a UEXT connector. The Nunchuck will communicate with your board's microcontroller via I2C. This creates a simple way to add a comfortable user interface to your project. The Wii Nunchuck controller features an analog joystick, two buttons, and a 3-axis accelerometer (LIS3L02AL).
If you already have a Nunchuck controller, you can purchase the UEXT adapter board separately. We do not sell the Nunchuck controllers separately.
UEXT Connector The MOD-WII-UEXT module can connected to the UEXT ports of dozens of microcontroller systems and development boards. Click on the architectures below for lists of compatible boards:
MOD-WII Demo Code The following examples are intended to be run on DuinoMite boards:
Can I still use the Nunchuck on my Wii or Wii U? — Yes; it is a normal Wii Nunchuck controller, just bundled with an adapter for microcontroller boards. The adapter can be unplugged.
Why is this about $10 cheaper than buying a Nunchuck by itself? — The big stores have a very high markup on controllers, since they make almost nothing on the systems. The fact is that the majority of the price on this bundle actually is to cover the cost of the adapter board.
Can I buy the Nunchuck separately from you? — No; we are not a Nintendo distributor, so we only can bundle the controller as an accessory to the adapter.
